AirFit - HC:
• The AIR-FIT® HC: Creating a comfortable indoor climate with minimal energy usage and low installation space.
The active chilled beam has been developed for HVAC systems, where the air handling installation supplies the necessary ventilation
air, while cooling and heating energy is mainly transported by water. As a result the size of the required air handling unit and
ductwork can be reduced. The installed height makes the AIR-FIT®HC most suitable for projects with limited ceiling space.
• Pre-conditioned supply air is injected into the mixing chamber through rows of nozzles. The air jets create a low pressure differential, the ambient room air flows past the fins of the coils, where it is conditioned (cooled /heated). The conditioned air then mixes with the ventilation air (supply air) and is discharged parallel to the ceiling (Coanda effect) through integrated slot diffusers.
• High Capacity:
The active chilled beam has a high cooling and heating capacity and is suitable to ventilate, cool and heat offices.
• Simplicity in Mounting:
With a width of 1 or 2 feet, the active chilled beam can be perfectly integrated into suspended ceilings with exposed T or bolt-slot systems for intermediate mounting.
• Low Maintenance:
The active chilled beam has no filter, no fan, or any other moving parts, therefore maintenance is limited to cleaning the heat exchanger every 1-2 years (depending on the dust concentration in the room), using a vacuum cleaner with a soft, long-haired brush head.
• Multi-nozzle Technology:
The active chilled beam is provided with three nozzle positions. The primary air volume flow rate of each unit can easily be adjusted, even after is mounted in the sus-pended ceiling. A complete shut-off on one side is an available option.
• Radiant Heating:
Optionally, heat conduction rails are available for high comfort radiant heating appli-cations. This will give tremendous energy savings, especially during unoccupied times when hygienic air is not required.
• Flexibility:
The active chilled beam is available in different lengths. This makes it possible to select the necessary capacity for every installation.
