AirFit® FA (Fresh Air):
• In buildings with dense occupancy, high ventilation rates are required by code (classrooms, etc.) to ensure adequate hygienic air supply.
• In such cases, conventional chilled beams are often operated at higher air flow rates than would be required to fulfill the sensible cooling demand,
just to meet the ventilation demand. The results are a higher static pressure, increased sound pressure levels, and an increase in the number of installed beams
(or additional air diffusers).
Solution; The Barcol-Air AirFit® FA

• The new chilled beam is specifically designed to accommodate high volume air flow rates. An integrated slot diffuser is supplied with ventilation air, which bypasses the pressure chamber (nozzles) and is discharged horizontally along with the conditioned air.
• In partial load operation (e.g. CO2 sensor in return air registers reduced ventilation demand) the bypass can be closed, without compromising the performance (efficiency) of the chilled water coil, maintaining the ability to remove sensible loads from solar gains, technical equipment, etc.
• The system is always in its most efficient operating point!
